Vegan Chocolate Cake

Remember that Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake that Grandma used to make? The one that had those layers of chocolatey goodness and took her what seems like hours to make? Yeah, that one. Well, this taste just like it but it’s from a Simple VGN box and it’s vegan! No way you say? OH YEAH, we say. Bake one for your next family function and tell everyone it’s grandma’s recipe….we promise we won’t tell!

  1. Non-Dairy Milk
  2. Water
  3. Vegetable Oil


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Pour cake mix into a bowl. Add: 3/4 cup non-dairy milk, 3/4 cup water and 1 cup oil. Mix well. Add 1/2 cup VERY HOT water.
  3. Split batter evenly between two greased 8″ round pans. Bake 22-25 mins or when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.


Try adding…

  1. 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips
  2. Use non-dairy chocolate milk in place of regular
